Thats cool. Chicago has a bigger market than the town Im in. I live in a town with 10K people and even if you count the town across the river which has 30K thats still only 40K total. There are maybe 6-7 gyms total between the two towns so its a bit slim pickens considering what % of the population actually belongs to any gym. We have 2 Gold's believe it or not considering our small size, one on each side of the river. But Gold's is very political and I didnt like their atmosphere. So Im at the largest non Gold's gym. They/we have over 600 paying members. Maybe 300 of which come in at least once a week. [Stunning how many people pay for a membership they almost never use] So out of the 300 regulars. I have 13 clients I see ever. Some just once a week others twice or even three times but no more than 3 a week for anyone. The people who can afford my services right now tend to be older [50+] and with the disposable income. However, when people just see my picture without knowing me its tough because I kinda have the bodybuilder/powerlifter look and thats not always welcoming to that demographic. I mean once you meet me its a different story but some people do judge books by their covers.I'm actually helping a few trainers market themselves in Chicago and they are doing quite well.
