Root how good is rooted gb compared to a rom

I loved my rooted d1 with a great rom but im new to the dx2 and I just installed rooted gb. I know I want root but do the other improvements make it worth staying with it as it is. Im just woundering if the right rom will give me noticeable speed or battery life.

Well, currently there aren't too many to choose from, and the one custom GB ROM is a 0.1 beta.

Personally, I have been happy just having root. I think I'm still a bit worn out from switching ROMs so frequently on the D1 and to be honest, none of them were ever "perfect" either. All of them typically were missing something I liked from another ROM or had some minor problem. Hope you enjoy getting in on the "ground floor"!

I'm sure down the road roms will include battery improvement, etc. But right now there are just not that many out there.
