How Good is this phone?

I ordered the GS3 during the pre-order and was so super excited about getting it. A few days after ordering it this gnex fell into my hands, completely unexpected (but very welcomed) While I was excited about my gnex, I was still thinking about the beast that was being shipped. Fast forward a few days, and my gnex is running Jelly Bean. I noticed myself not even checking shipping progress on my gs3 anymore. Well, I just decided to check and It'll be here tomorrow. I feel like someone is making me decide which kid is my favorite. I don't think I could sell either, but I feel bad letting one sit idle. Customer Support is going to get annoyed with me swapping sims quite often :-)

I know this is a good problem to have, but still....The Galaxy Nexus is an awesome phone!

How much time do you have to compare the two? I'd love to hear about a real time comparison.

I have all the time in the world, any questions you have will be warmly accepted. I must warn you, I'm essentially a lucky n00b who owns both. I've decided I can't live without both phones.

I'm also the guy who has 20 old timey razors and won't part with any of them.

I just got my [GSM] Nexus from the Play Store last week, and one of the most frustrating parts of my pre-purchase research was that it's often unclear which model of the phone someone is talking about: GSM, Verizon or Sprint. It appears to me that many of the issues people have with their devices are model-specific. Since you mention customer service hassles with moving your SIM, I imagine you're talking about a CDMA model.

Yes, sometimes it seems like specific sub-forums are needed for the CDMA and the GSM versions, or even for the different carriers. It is interesting how different the two versions of the phone are -- different battery, different back plate, different thickness of the phone and the storage size is different.

You will notice that some threads do preface the thread with [VZW] or [GSM]. It would likely help if move people would do that, though, in some cases, what starts out as a general question that they think applies to all versions winds up specific to one of the versions.

Yes, Verizon CDMA

In our cases, you can tell by looking below our names under "Devices". That is something else that could help on this forum.

That's helpful when posts are current, but not so much when searching/reading older content, as the devices section lists your current device(s), not the device(s) that you had at the time of the post. Even for current content it doesn't always help, since I am sometimes posting with regard to phones of family members.

Yes, there are limitations. The ideal is for threads on a particular version to be marked [VZW] or [GSM], or people including in posts which version they are talking about. But, when you don't have those, having it listed in devices is better than nothing.
