I didn't find a bunch of information when trying to root this particular model. I did find a little but most of the apps that they suggested didn't work. So I had to break out an old computer and stuff a drive into and install that dreaded OS Windows then I installed Kies and odin. I downloaded the latest twrp recovery for the samsung galaxy s4 tmobile - read besides the radios they are the same phone. I installed the recovery and everything is working great. I then downloaded the latest version of lollipop (dirty unicorn edition) for the tmobile and at first it was great then about 2 hours it went through a hot restart cycle. It did this while I was out and couldn't mess with it by the time I got home it had cleared up and has been working great ever since.
