I used the HTC Thunderbolt for years before it died an ugly death. I loved using the HTC phone because it was so user friendly to sync my Outlook calendar/contacts both ways from my phone and computer.
Since I failed techno-lingo, reading - then re-reading - then re-reading instructions on this forum and other forums on how to sync my new LG G3 and Outlook left me frustrated.
I have never used an Exchange, but I spent almost 10 hours in the past few days trying to figure it out. I finally gave up. I didn't want to buy a 3rd party product - I just wanted to have a free simple, user friendly sync.
While I was doing yet another internet search for options - this time just moving away from Outlook (yes, I know a lot of you hate Outlook, but I have used it for years and am not looking to switch). While I was looking, it dawned on me to look for an app in the PlayStore and of course, I said, "DUH" - outloud, when I found the Outlook app.
I am not sure why I didn't see that option on here and/or why I didn't think to look, but it only took me 2-3 minutes to download the app and TA-DA, all of my contacts and calendar items appeared on my phone.
Again, I am not a techo savvy person, but this simple app worked for me, so maybe it will work for someone else (fingers crossed).
