For a while there I didn't understand why anyone was so fired up in this thread, but I completely understand now. I'm pretty fired up right now. I just don't understand how someone can order several days after another customer and receive it prior to the first order being shipped. It doesn't make any sense. They make you take a number at the store. It just doesn't seem like this system makes any sense. There has to be some method to the madness. I say WTF... Congratulations to those that have received their phones but again, I am jealous.... but WTF Verizon. :mad:

I ordered online 8/22 in MD and have yet to hear anything. My get it by date is 9/7 and I am starting to think it's accurate. :(
 
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?! My Blackberry Storm decided to crap out of my today and I was going to be phoneless until my X comes, but then I got an email saying that I will get the X by tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so freaking happy and excited!!!! :)

Seattle. I'm guessing they just got a big chunk of inventory. I'll bet you all get your phones well before the estimated ship/delivery date.

Ordered mine from a Verizon brick and mortar store Sunday 8/29. The online ordering page said ship by 9/10 that day. Hope I get it before then but not counting on it!!
 
yay!!!! got mine yesterday!!! so exciting haha. never thought i'd ever be this excited about a phone. love the phone. works great. battery life is great (i think for a smart phone as bad ass as this one). good luck to you guys
 
I received my Droid X today, but I'm still stuck at school finishing up a paper for summer school! After I finish my paper, I will start summer break and then I'm going to learn everything I can about the Droid X!!!!
 
I ordered mine on Aug 31st through the verizon website with 2 day shipping.

"Due to overwhelming inventory demands, your DROID X by Motorola order will ship on 09/15/2010"

This anticipation is making me anxious!
 
ordered the wifes droidX August 22nd online with supposed Sept. 9th ship date. yesterday I got an email confirmation saying it was shipped (Sept. 1st) and it arrived today at 2pm (Sept 2nd). thing is sweet too. but I'll keep my rooted D1 for now ;p
 
Wow that's pretty fast. Hopefully they're catching up with their inventory and will ship in 7 days rather than 14. I'm still anxiously waiting for mine. Yesterday I stopped by the Verizon store I ordered from and asked when I should be getting mine and if I'd get an email. I got this blank stare from the guy behind the counter. The manager walked over and asked when I had placed my order with them. I replied Sunday the 29th.....and he said....it'll ship by the 10th. I asked....will I get an email when it ships? "Yep". Now mind you he spewed all this off the top of his head. Never looked at a single screen of a pc. My confidence level isn't very high at this point that his date is correct or that they have my correct email address. Ugh....
