How long does your battery last?

I want to ask, I have a Galaxy S3, how much battery do you have when you're about to sleep? How often do you charge your phone? Once like every night or in the mid-day also?

I'm curious because normally when I go to school, I don't use my phone often so when I come back, I still have loads of battery maybe 90% at 5PM.
And I go to sleep with about 15% (yes I use my phone alot) at 11PM.

Also when on holidays or weekends, I tend to use my phone through out the day so I'm already at about 40% at 3-4 PM which is kind of annoying. So I want to ask how much battery do you have? And are you using any 3rd party battery (extended one) or any spare?

I know this Note 2 thread but because Note 2 battery looks impressive 3100 mAH I want to know how much does your last?

On average, I get about 20 hours of battery life. I unplug my phone around 7am every morning. By the time I go to sleep around 11pm or so, I'm usually around 40-50%. I use my phone regularly throughout the day, mainly checking emails and such. On the weekends I tend to use my phone more for watching movies/Hulu/etc. On those days I'll usually drain my battery completely by bedtime. Overall, I have ZERO complaints about the battery life on my Note 2. There's never been a time where I ran out of juice during the day or have to make a mad dash to an outlet to charge up my phone .

I'll admit my phone use isn't heavy, but a couple days ago I hit 3 days - still had 15% charge remaining. (Total screen time was less than 3 hours, and I'm in a strong 4G signal area.)

Mine also lasts all day, even with moderate/heavy use. I have run the battery down to 10% with heavy use after 12 hours, but that was playing games and watching Netflix for more than 4 hours. I have zero complaints about the battery life. Its refreshing that I don't have to worry about the battery at all.

The funny thing is that I still have a charger for the phone at my desk here at work and if I listen to streaming audio over Pandora, then I plug my phone in. No sense of letting the battery drain when I have a charger handy. :)

I was recharging every other night, but I switched to charging every night since I learned that you'll get more total recharge cycles out of the battery if you don't let it get below 50% too often.
But I have never had it last less than an entire day.

Mine has been much better than I expected....untill today. I used to have no problem going 16-20 hours with about 30-45 phone calls, a fair amount of texting, as well as sending and checking emails and some web browsing.
Today I did the OTA 4.1.2 update after I unplugged the charger around 5am, by 6:30 pm I was down to 6% battery. Not much browsing, minimal texting and about 25 calls.
I hope it was the install of the OTA update
that did it.

If you haven't restarted you could try that. I restarted mine right after the 4.1.2 update. My battery life is the same or a tiny bit better. YMMV :)

I will shut down and restart....hopefully that does it. I have been getting amazing battery life and hope to continue. ....

Hey it doesn't cost much. I also turned off Smart Stay & Smart Rotation in Display settings. I've read a few posts about them draining battery. I just turned them off to get rid of the eye thing in the Notification Panel. Hope you get back to pre update power. :D

I can regularly have 2 days usage light to medium and still have 30% left.

Wow I think the battery is great coming from an IP5, however I would be lucky to get more than 10 hours of use on a single charge. Mostly browsing and emails (4) accounts plus one is for work and I get a lot of email, words with friends 2-3 times a day, and maybe watching a cnet video once a day, but once you hit LTE on any network it chews your battery apart.

On a weekday I charge my phone to 100% in the morning before work and by the time I get home from work it's at 90-95% depending on whether I've used it in the day. Then by the time I go to bed it's usually down to somewhere between 40-60%.

Weekends I charge my phone fully in the mornings and by the time I go to bed it'll be anywhere between 25-50% depending on usage.

So really I could get at least a day and a half/two days out of it if I didn't charge it daily.

As a person that came from the S3 to the Note 2, I have to say I am more than pleased w/ the battery life on the Note 2. I am a very heavy user so I'm not going to give you percentage this & percentage that, but just know that you will be very happy if you do decide to get this device. Hope this helps.

Only had the phone 2 weeks, turned off the smart stay and rotation (doesnt work very well with my glasses on - they are frameless with special oakley lenses - experimented a bit, I think it must be the anti glare or something else in the coating as it works with my old glasses perfectly) and this improved the battery life a lot, half way through day 3 with plenty of hours use screen time, and about 10 hours use playing podcasts with the screen off, only just dropped below 20%.

I have bought 2 spare batteries (I have a self built camper van and dont like running the engine battery down while parked, at windsurfing events waiting for wind I tend to use the phone a lot!). They are Anker branded, cost

Ah I don't have LTE on mine. 3g only.

Mine is lasting about 3 days, Maybe even 4. I don't really use the internet on this phone but I have LTE. I get about 20 emails a day that I don't usually open up on my phone, about 3-5 calls and about 10 text messages. I guess I am not using this phone to its full capacity, lol.

You must not have anything sync'ing at all while you're at work or have your phone on airplane mode. I have no clue how you only get a 5-10% drain during a full days work, without using the phone.

On my International Note 2, there's a 5% drain (12 hour timeframe), but that thing is on Airplane mode the entire time, so I'd love to know how you accomplish this.

My phone begins rockin' at about 5am and it is usually somewhere around 40% at 10pm. I am a pretty heavy user and am LOVING this battery life!

I can't have my phone with me at work, so most days it's in my car for 8+hours on airplane mode. I did have a long day off the other day with lots of driving around using gps, listening to music with the screen on, and both at the same time for awhile. I ended up with about 5 hours screen on time before I got down to like 3% as I was going to sleep. This was a very heavy usage day, possibly one of the heaviest days I've had. I was very satisfied.

i run smart stay, smart rotation, highest screen setting, use my phone alot, games, musoc, pandora, navigation, ect. and i only charge when i go to sleep at night because my batt last ALL day. i am also running cpu master, and bullet kernel, and underclocking to 600mhz when the screen is off or im in a call.and only ise full power when screen is on.
