How long it will take for Desire? 2.1

With today's unofficial announcement of a new Android 2.2 (Froyo) and rumours about release date (19th of May on Google I/O conference) I just wonder how long it will take HTC to deliver new Android for Desire... or we will stuck for ages as a Hero?

Couldn't care less about 2.2 at the moment. Personally I'm a Glass Half Full kinda guy, so I'm just revelling in the joys of 2.1 on my gorgeous Amoled screen flying around at the speed of light thanks to my snapdragon processor, and absolutely loving it. Hope they get the rest of the Android world up to what we have real soon.

Year, but if your like me then your gonna be kicking yourself when Nexus One users get some supper-cool new Android ui and we're still stuck on 2.1!

Hmm...... Though, I'm starting to doubt that it will be 'super-cool'...
More like; "Very slightly and rather pointlessly improved"!

Well for one I'm not sure i trust that picture. Anyway i think teh jump won't be a s big as the jump from 1.5 to 2.1. We shouldn't miss out on anything if we stick with 2.1 anyway.
