Root how long to flash...?

I am trying to root my incredible.

I have gotten as far as the Unrevoked3 saying it is "flashing recovery image, do not touch your phone"

how long does this take?

I have been waiting on it for 45 mins now...

so what is on your phone right now?

phone looks like normal. connected via usb as a disk drive...in usb debugging mode

well the process is pretty quick. unrevoked will reboot your phone into bootloader and then load the new recovery. if it is not doing that then you need to check your drivers.

i had problems getting the driver as well. follow the instructions to the letter and you will be good. once the drivers are good the process is sooo easy. i love windows7 but the drivers suck ass.

It goes thru a reboot...then hangs

had to uninstall htc sync
