I was talking with a few people about this and curious to how long you will wait as we can get the Nexus now and rumor has the new Samsung coming out next month???

If there still isn't any news by 5/25 I'll cancel my pre-order. I don't think I need to give Sprint an interest free loan any longer than that.

Sprint is the last great hope for unlimited data.

Maybe if someone announces a 2gb Android 5 quad core phone soon ...

Well, I was probably going to wait till the end of the month anyway.....more like June 1st. By then my GF should be ready to get her new phone as well.

I personally don't care how long it takes. There isn't any phone currently on or coming to the Sprint network in the relatively near future that will sway my thoughts on acquiring this magnificent piece of hardware.

I am just bitter I paid to upgrade early this week when maybe it would have been cheaper to do so next month. LOL

Well, I am just glad I was able to sync my upgrade back with my family's.

Exactly, the GNex is not even in the same camp.

If the GSIII should come (actually) come out before the LTEvo launches then I would reconsider, but that on the scope of months out...

Yea I don't see another phone on the horizon that would change my mind if in fact the GSIII releases before the Evo it may be hard to resist but other than that I am fine waiting. The way I see it I expected the phone to release in early June(early rumors said that as well) so getting it in May was just going to be a bonus. I am hopefully that HTC will have this worked out by next week and we will see our phones before June.

I'm withcha when ya right!;)

They have 2 weeks, if they can't supply a phone by then I'm sorry but this is more about me and my phone needs, not me being loyal to a company. As harsh as it sounds I need a phone, if they can't supply one I'll go T-Mobile and get a HTC One S which is similar enough to capture my taste and still in stock. I'm currently off contract with any carrier so all cards are on the table.

I'll wait a month or two, no big deal. Then I may start looking for the next big thing. I'm not interested in anything built by Samsung, as I've had terrible experiences with their products. For now, the Photon is still going like a champ!

PiP isn't going to sell a device to me though. The SGS3 is extremely underwhelming software wise. I expected more, honestly. If it ships with the QC S4 SoC, even less reason to consider the SGS3.

I haven't decided if I'm getting this phone or not. If I was for sure, I could wait. Its not like you have a choice if you want the phone. If it means that much to you, then waiting is not a problem. If you have waited this long, whats a few more weeks, or even a month? If the phone is that good, its worth the wait. I really want to compare the GS3 and the LTEvo together before I make my final decision.

I voted "as long as it takes" because I'm not up for the S3 because I really despise Samsung's update record. My Moment and my ex's Epic are really behind the times, I think, needlessly. So I'm comfortable giving HTC a try because of all the above average reviews.

But I reserve the right to change my mind.

I didn't really need a new phone as my EVO 4G has never given me any issues, so I will wait until the LTE arrives. My payment for the pre-order has been credited to my account, so all is good.

I said "As long as it takes."
Well, so long as things don't work out exactly as Apple hopes. That is, that the Evo 4 will be announced before the LTEvo is released from customs. Until then, I'll wait.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Samsung radios are run by mini rodents running on hamster wheels, and their support for after-sale updates and patches is just as pathetic. There's no way I would consider their device for anything other than a profitable resale (but then again, that might open me to returns by the dissatisfied recipient!).

I might consider a Motorola, but frankly, my OG Evo has been too amazing. I completely trust HTC at this point and I don't want to gamble on another company.

Im going with as long as it takes, too. I just dont see any phones on the horizon (for Sprint or any other carrier) that compare to the EVO LTE. One could easily make an argument for the SGSIII, I suppose. But, my SGSII experience was so poor due to Samsung's radios (particularly the GPS), that I wont be buying another Samsung phone for quite some time. Yet, my original EVO and EVO 3D have been superb!

I'm all in on the EVO LTE... and I cant wait to get one! :)

My luck, if I keep the pre-order past next Friday that is, they will ship and (attempt to) deliver while I'm on vacation.

Probably until the GSIII comes out. I like the look and feel of the LTEvo (from checking it out at BB) as well as the kickstand...plus HTC is very good about updates (which I've heard Samsung is not). If the GSIII comes out and the EVO is still held up, I'll likely pull the trigger on the Sammy.
