How many apps do you have on your Captivate?

Hey cappy users,

How many apps do you guys currently have? No need to list names, or include any pre-installed apps or live wallpapers.

I've got 86 currently.

Before last Christmas, I stopped counting at about 140.

But I also haven't installed much since. And I've uninstalled a few.

So probably, what, maybe 145 now?

Okay, let me see . . .

10 full screens of app icons, plus last screen with 8 icons.

So that's 168. Including built-in craptacular bloatware from AT&T.

Note that some items like some live wallpapers don't have an app icon. :-)

Just counted 175. Running Serendipity 7, so no ATT bloatware. I add and remove apps frequently though.

Gosh I have 95 apps now, and can see my phone running significantly slower than it once did. I dunno how you guys are up in the high hundreds!

If my phone starts running slowly, I find out what app is responsible and get rid of it.

I pay careful attention to permissions apps want. It's wasn't bad at first. Now, many updates to applications seem to want intrusive permissions. So I don't update. I may even find a better alternative and uninstall the app that wants the intrusive new permissions.

If most people just go ahead and give apps unrestricted permissions, then we might as well not even have a permissions system. Let's just make it a free for all, like a PC running Windows.

Edit: I've noticed a number of things I didn't particularly like about some of Amazon's free app of the day apps. Permissions. And one OfficeSuite that has a CPU hogging "service" running all the time.
