How much memory..?

I'm confused exactly what the memory allowance is for the Motorola DROID.

Where are the apps stored? Phone internal memory or SD card or both? How much can the device hold? I'm always uncertain whether it's OK to install more and more apps...so I'm skeptical...

So what's the deal?

I could be mistaken but I'm pretty sure that they are saved inside your sd card by default but I'm not entirely sure.

Apps are stored in internal memory. That being said, since most apps are quite small, you have plenty of storage space.

Yeah installed apps are storeand run only on the internal memory. They can have data such as images stored on the sd card that the app accesses. At one point I had about 70 apps on my phone and still had 150mb of the 256 left. Most are no more than a couple hundred kb.
