How much RAM do you have free?

I usually have less than 100 free.
What about you?

Rooted, de-bloated, 31 installed apps (Not stored on SD), Lg optimizer APP installed.

Never enough. I need at least 2gb. Hopefully ics will alleviate some of the memory issues all android users face now. Or wait until next year when they start bumping up ram on androids.

Don't forget that the way android works is by keeping programs in memory. If the is needs memory it will close something down that's not in use to give it to the new app

I know it frees up memory when needed.
Just wondering if we're all on the same page.

Also, Battery use shows MAPS @ 75%. =\ Android @ 25%
I've killed the process turned of GPS n still shows.

Rename the Maps apk and put .bk at the end and it will uninstall and when you need it it takes 2 seconds to erase the ,bk and it automatically installs. Its one of those apps that love to run when you havent even used it and kills your battery.

Sounds like you have too much garbage running on your phone or something, cause I usually have anywhere between 130 - 150 free, and my Esteem is not rooted and still has all the bloatware installed. I think the least I've ever seen free was somewhere in the lower 120s, but under 100mb? Never.

You could delete all apps you never use, that could free up some ram.

My phone has an average of 50mb free but my phone never lags or anything but I do have alot of tweaks done to it, for example the optimize app.

So in reality ram usage shouldn't matter with an android but LG loves to realease their phones with many bugs.

The only way you will most likely get it to run perfectly like a 350$ device should run is by rooting it.

Thanks ShinySide. Definitely going to give that a try tommorow. I don't always use it so I won't be bothered with the process you mentioned.

MetroPOS I do have lots of stuff running. I just checked it now n say's 198MB Free. I'll see what's up throughout time.

Prime, Phone is rooted and de-bloated. I do delete crap I don't use.
I also have Optimizer App installed. Which works miracles. A few tweaks here n there.
The phone has not lagged ever since I also installed Esteem Optimizer app.
(Note to friends, If you don't have it, GET IT!)
Prime is my witness. :D

I was just wondering if that's how low RAM would usually go.

Lol then the answer is yes

I also have the optimizer installed and yesterday I had 200mb free and today I have 192mb. I would suggest that anyone who hasn't purchased it needs to do so. It is amazing.

I un-installed the recent update and the problem seemed to have solved itself. I no longer see maps under battery use and battery seems to be living longer.
I can also see Standy by and Idle again.

WTF GOOGLE!? Lame update!

Thanks for the info guys.
