I can't complain, I paid about $80 for it at the time. The Droid would've cost me $200, and judging by what I can see of my wife's Droid I wouldn't have liked it.
It doesn't feel that much faster or smoother once I've tweaked my Eris the way I like it and it feels way too big. Hell, with the Eris it almost feels to small and light, but with the Otterbox Commuter case it feels just right.
With my Eris running CELB 3.8 Froyo I'm in no real rush to get rid of it. I'm planning on keeping it around as a house phone (google voice+wifi) even after I choose my next phone. It's been too good to me to toss it in the drawer with all my other old phones.
