Help How to add own MP3s?

How do I add my MP3's to my Tbolt?! When I view the phone through the USB it finds some strange directories, but nothing that says "music", or SD card?!? It also "tries" to find software and doesn't find anything?!?

I've had the phone for a couple of weeks now and figured I'd try this; it's not as simple as my old phone.. HELP!?

Just create a new folder on the SD card and call it Music. Then drag or copy your MP3's into that folder.

It's actually very simple. When you connect your phone, select to connect it as a disk drive. Once you have the new drive, add a new folder for your music. Copy and paste songs in the folder.

You don't have to create the folder. Android does an SD Card scan and it "finds" pictures, music, and videos and knows where they are. So, if you have a mp3 in the music folder, and an mp3 in the download folder, your music player will see them both.

You can also use a program like Windows Media Player, DoubleTwist, WinAmp to sync music onto your phone. The above is the "manual" way of doing it.

Thanks.. that was very helpful (it worked)!! Next question.. if I were to want to delete a song, how do I do it? Do I have to go back onto the SD card to remove something??

Yes. Just like you would delete a file from your computer, you need to access the SD Card to delete the file. You can either plug it into your computer and connect it as a disk drive, or you can use an app like "Astro File Manager". There are many file manager apps that let you view/edit/rename/delete files on your phone.

Just open the app, navigate to the file, and delete it (usually by long pressing the file).

This part is tricky. You'll have to find a method that works for you.

You can create playlists on the fly through your music player. If you have 1000 songs, this isn't going to be fun.

If you use a music player on your phone like WinAmp or DoubleTwist, you can use their PC program to create playlists and sync to your phone. That's going to be the easiest way about it.

On a side note - I like WinAmp. I really like their Android/Windows apps. Also, they have wireless syncing. I wouldn't suggest doing it on the initial sync because it might take a long time. Oh, WinAmp for Android also supports voice search. So, you can hold down the search key and say, "listen to Johnny Cash" and it will start playing some good music using WinAmp.
