How to auto-sync at regular intervals (need it for my HTC clock widget which shows climate)? I can't keep it enabled because that'd drain out the battery, and I don't see any option for putting in a regular interval period like an hour or something. If it's disabled, my clock widget's weather never updates, and I hate to do it manually!

You should see the option of setting the time intervals by tapping the weather icon (below the time on the clock), tap menu then settings. You should see the option there.

P.s. I've also moved your thread to its support forum. :)

Thanks but the 'Update every x hours' option in those Settings is greyed out if I have 'Auto-Sync' disabled!

Having same problem - keep getting woken up in the middle of the night by random tweets and emails but then have to turn sync back on when I wake up. Apart from in-app settings, is there anything that the phone itself has to control these notifications in terms of frequency and peak/off peak times?

Just read this elsewhere - may be helpful to anyone else who comes to this page:
Looks like this problem was not a real issue after all! I use an app called Profile Scheduler where you can have settings for different times of the day. I have one for at work where it turns off notifications and ringer and then another one for after work where I turn sound on, etc... Well in each of the profiles there was a setting to turn of Auto Sync each time a new profile started. So what I thought was random was actually not and as soon as I set Auto Sync to on for each of my profiles the issue went away.
BTW - Profile Scheduler is an excellent app once you figure out how to set it up!

Just have autosync enabled for the weather. If you have it set to every hour it wont drain the battery that much.

I have my mobile data on all the time / wifi on / autosync with facebook, mail and weather - my battery lasts a whole day
