Help how to b backup evo apps and contacts

I want to upgrade to 2.2 and like to backup my contacts and applications to my SD so i can restore them once upgraded.. Im rooted at the moment. but could not find a good app to back up both. Im getting a lot of force close so I think its time to start clean. I just want to make it easy to restore my contacts and some apps. thanks

Ok I backed up my EVO.. how do I restore it back to factory after I rooted it... I tried reading the Rooting for dummies.. that all Spanish to me

Well, what did you use to backup?

I used Astro to back up my apps.

To backup: Astro > Menu > Tools > Application Manager/Backup > Pick the ones you want to back up.

To restore: Same screen as above but click on the Backed Up Apps tab, select the ones you want to restore, and click Install.

Yup I fixed it.. I used MyBackup Pro it worked like a Charm.. now I just got to get this OTA 2.2 to download.. Grr is always something else
