Root How to back up my contacts?

I am about to start to root my phone. I have backup using App Monster. Does that mean all the contacts are also backed up?

If you sync your contacts with Gmail you don't need to back them up,they'll sync automatically.

If not use Mybackup pro.

I tried Gmail sync, but i don't see any phone number under contacts. they are only email address

Export it to your sd card or sim then import it back once you rooted and added custom rom. I did that after I cudnt sync contacts on gmail it worked like a charm

thanks It only allows me to export to my SIM, not my SD. why is that?

Doesnt it?? Thats strange I didnt have that problem. Are you on sense rom?

If you have any doubt, just install Mybackup and use that. Having 2 backups won't hurt, not having one will.

The 30 day free version will do for this, though I bought the paid version, Mybackup Pro.
