How to better the screen output on evo

I'm new to this forum (great site) and some what new to my evo and i'm wondering about the screen output. My son has an intercept and the movies and sprint tv shows look a whole lot better, why is that and do i need to make some adjustments when watching video or even pictures on my evo help

THere are no screen adjustments. What do you mean they "look better" on your son's phone? What are you trying to watch?

FYI, anything on a smaller screen will look better, due to the smaller pixel density.

I understand that there is a pixel count issue due to size but the quality of the paly back makes my screen look washed out not as sharp or crasp, are there any adjutments outside of brightness that can be made to the screen

Again, no there are no adjustments besides backlight. If you dont like it, take it back and get another phone.
