How to block Chrome update

Chrome on Android and PC recently stopped support for mjpeg streaming video. On my new GS4 and TAB3 I can uninstall the Chrome update and then mjpeg streaming video works. But how do I prevent the phone and tablet from reinstalling the update ?

(We have about 20 Linksys cameras that have mjpeg streams that can be played directly in Chrome (before the recent updates) and Safari. No other browsers will play streaming mjpeg)

(On our PCs we have locked in a 2 month old vesion of Chrome with a Group policy template provided by Google set to block updates.)

Just turn off automatic updates in Play settings and update any updates individually (after reading the reviews)

Yes. In the case of stopping updates for chrome only, go to play store > My apps > Chrome, and that will take you to the play store entry for Chrome. Once there, you should be able to find a checkbox for automatic updates. Check or uncheck the box as necessary.

Theyve removed that checkbox so its either on or of for all apps :(

The only time you see a checkbox for updating is if you update manually. Then it's only to allow automatic updating.

On the Nexus 4, there is a update box under settings, but it seems to be either all or none.
