How to boost RAM ?

They are auto restarting. That is one of the major reasons the task killer programs are adding to the load on your system. If it was not running the auto started apps would likely be consuming very little. Now they are restarting and adding to the load. How about constantly killing them so they are constantly restarting and REALLY adding to the load?

I tend to listen to what the mods say because that's why they are mods, lol. So I know a lot of these "ram booster" apps are crap, but I have one quick question. I downloaded an app before I know they were bad, lol, called NQ Android Booster 2.0, and I have been able to confirm that when I select apps for it to close they stay closed!! I'll check back at random intervals and the apps aren't open again. This would suggest that the app is actually doing what it is supposed to do correcto?

Nope on three counts.

First, as Thom mentioned, NQ is autoclosing background apps - a background app is one that runs while you're not looking. And you often want running background apps and services.

Second, this entire class of apps simply lies about what is running. They can, will, and do report apps that are hibernating harmlessly, consuming no CPU or battery resources, as running. As I show in the linked thread, spending time tinkering with apps that aren't really running consumes resources, not saves them.

Third, it's not correct to screw up Android's built-in task manager on background apps and tinkering with hibernating apps, both at the expense of battery and performance, and then tell you that it did just the opposite.
