Help how to buck up apps without SD card

Well the title pretty much says it all, I need to buck up some apps no longer available in the market I've always used Astro but since Nexus won't support removable memory I'm concerned about those apps, any sugestions? Thanks

I think that feature you have for Astro is already integrated for ICS.

I guess I'm not sure what buck up apps means. Ooo back up apps.

From my understanding of how the Nexus is; the 32gigs is partitioned so there is a "SD" card built into the phone that's not part of the system. So when you factory reset it it doesn't touch that partition. I could be wrong but I read that somewhere.

However, don't worry about doing a factory reset on your phone. The internal storage is split into multiple partitions, and one of them will act JUST like an SD card. When you wipe/factory reset, all of your data will stay there. You can still backup apps with Titanium Backup, or keep your photos when you wipe, or whatever.

Not so sure about part of that statement. I believe the 32GB is all one big partition, and /sdcard is only a folder (not a separate partion). The system then mounts /sdcard so that it's directly accessible from any app looking for it.

I *have* seen screen shots showing a dialog box to "Factory Reset" the device, with a checkbox option to "Erase /sdcard", too, which would confirm that under a normal device reset, the /sdcard folder will remain untouched. Not sure what happens to it when you're reflashing, however.

Thanks for all the responses but how about transfering apps from my incredible to the nexus again my real concern is apps no longer available in the market, with a file manager like Astro is very easy to a new phone but without an SD card any other way? Thank you again

I'm not sure how a factory reset will effect this, but when I unlocked my bootloader I knew it would wipe my phone, that included my pictures, I assume they would be in the sd card portion, could be wrong about that.

All I know it wiped my pictures, it wasn't a big deal at the time yet, but it could be eventually.
