So here we go!

This guide can be adapted for basically any device and any fork of Android, be it AOKP/PA/CM/AOSP.

[Pre-Reqs]
64-Bit Linux. I recommend Linux Mint 15/Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
Decent computer with AT LEAST 4GB of RAM
Very Good Internet connection...DO NOT try it over 3G/56kbps/even a 512kbps It wont be pretty...
Functional device and kernel tree.
