Root How to change 4G icon

copy an move system framwork.apk to computer and rename .apk to .zip open up res folder an mdpi folder find the .png and rename the other the same an replace

Are you sure Toolbox won't brick it by changing the icons through it?

According to plasticarmyman (I think it was him who said it) this phone is unbrickable because E-mode appears to be unable be erased. Besides, we have a locked bootloader so technically you never really do brick it. So I say, backup your apps and data with Titanium and try it :D Something goes wrong, just use the Almighty Sammyz unbrick guide! :D

Just tried to change it through rom Toolbox it doesn't work. If anyone costumed their icon to 4G LTE or other than stock plz upload for me and others thanks

Change these 2. Its in drawable mdpi.

You have to choose copy in ninjas morph and copy the files from the system ui. Then you will be able to replace the 4g icon with the lte icon in the copied folder

Ninja morph is easy and you can do dinner cool stuff with it just don't mess with .9 pngs. Lol. Just play around with it. Make sure u make a copy of your original files. You may need it;)

PS. Post your changes made with ninjas morph

Awright guys, there's a mucho easy way of doing this just by using the build.props. just go into build.prop and look for the option that's been filled in with your carrier. The name of the option is target....something, when you find it change metropcs to ATT. Reboot and bam the 4g is now 4g lte. (Sorry about the confusion, I just woke up)

(Edit) ro.build.target_operator switch MPCS with ATT

can you provide a specific string? i would like to check this out ((with a buddies phone) but need a specific string.

Its its my last posts edit. :D
(Edit #2) upon rebooting after changing the build.prop, you'll notice that metropcs is now on the left side of your status bar. It seems that change of build prop was meant for tablet restricted to carriers, but that's just what I think. Try it on a different phone and let me know, remember to back up your build prop in case of some unforeseen issues. ;)

Ok so I put Verizon instead of ATT and I can confirm that it will brick your phone so hard. I tried to see if I could get Verizon 4g icons through that.
