Root How to change boot animation?

How does one do this? I downloaded my boot animation of choice and downloaded Root Explorer but root explorer won't let me change anything. It just says "read only"
I am rooted and I'm running the latest version of cm7 in case that means anything xD

When your in the /system/media/ folder you have to change it from read only to read write. There should be a button in the right corner that says ro/rw I don't have it on my phone right this second, but there should be something that says ro/rw just click that and you will have read write access and can copy over the other boot animation.

Don't feel stupid I sometimes don't notice or forget about little things like that. Plus someone else who didn't want to start a thread that has the same proble might come across this. But glad I could help

Yeah, I had the hardest time trying to figure out why TB said I didn't have root access in MIUI. I had forgot to reboot after enabling it in superuser.

It happens, especially to ziggy!
