Help How to change desktop dock default mode?

I have a basic desktop charger/dock (Motorola model BSD-8111) that came with the Costco accessory package for the Bionic. All was well until I changed the default dock mode to Bedside, but now I can't find a way to get back to Productivity mode. Another thread said I could use Motorola Dock Services -> Clear Data, but I can find no such option. I tried the "enabling dock mode without a dock" app, but once in Productivity mode, it reverts to Bedside mode when I actually put it in the dock. What's the secret?

Place your phone in the dock and pull down the notification bar and touch the dock notification. Choose to 'Dismiss Picker' (bottom of the list), then bring up the notification again and checkmark 'Remember my selection', then select 'Productivity'. You will default to 'Productivity' from now on. In dock mode, press the 'Back' softkey to get to the desktop and the 'Home' softkey to get back to the dock screen. Seems a little bass ackward, but that's how it works.

Bass-ackward indeed, like a lot of Android stuff, IMHO. I just discovered that I had neglected to ask to be notified of replies, so just saw your response; thanks a lot.

I also discovered today that the default mode is dock-specific. I acquired a second, new, identical dock, and when I put my bedside-mode Bionic in it, it showed the initial dock prompt and did not go to bedside mode. So I put the bedside dock beside my bed, and the new dock on the desk, and all is well.
