Root How to change keyboards?

Is there a way to change to a keyboard from another ROM? I'm using the OpenMatrix rom which basically has the ICS dark keyboard. I'd like to have the dark keyboard with the arrows at the bottom, I think it comes with the Midnight Rom or maybe the MIUI...one of those two. Can't quite remember which one. Anyway, is there a way to switch out the keyboard?

Take the keyboard app from the one you want and place it into System/app folder then reboot. That might make it show up and be selectable.

If it's the default system keyboard then it should be called keyboard.apk
WARNING! it will replace the keyboard app you already have.

it's not the default keyboard, the default one would be the white HTC keyboard. The keyboard that's on the ROM i'm running is the ICS dark keyboard. I can't find a "keyboard.apk" anywhere in the ROM folder

Oh so you want the default HTC Keyboard that came with the phone right?

If that's the case then it should be called htckeyboard.apk

No, I want a keyboard from another ROM. I think it's MidnightRom, I've been looking around in that folder and can't find any keyboard file.
