Help How to change location

Second day with Android tablet. At top of first screen is the time and date. Then there's an apparent location that means nothing to me, "The Meadows." I take it that this refers to a housing development but that's not the name of where I live. How do I fix that?

Hi

Android does not normally display your location at the top of the screen. What device do you have? Do you know which version of android it has? Normally you could find this in
Menu
Settings
About device

Are you maybe referring to a weather widget on your home screen? If so, go to Settings, Location and set it to "high accuracy" to see if that updates it eventually.
"power save" relies on wifi and cell towers for location and can be wildly wrong.
If not maybe you can find settings for the widget and enter location manually :thumbsupdroid:

Thanks, girolez, for responding. The tablet is an ASUS MeMO tablet 8. It probably would be best if I (once I learn how to take a screenshot) post a screenshot.

Yes a screenshot would help. It is shown on the "first screen" ie homepage as you stated or in the pulldown settings as funkylogic noted?

EDIT Ahh, I think you mean its on the lockscreen. Its probably part of a weather widget which has not been set up yet for your location.

I'm not sure how to post a screenshot on the site(?) as I use the app but if you can't figure it out just upload the pic to Dropbox or Google Drive or something and post a link here :thumbsupdroid:
