How to Change Phone Interface

hello, please go easy on me, I'm a newbie.

I bought a Droid Turbo and like it, except after having a Galaxy S4 for a long time, I don't like the telephone interface. No good way to access favoites (the phone interface puts frequently called there instead). I like the telephone interface much better on the Galaxy S4.

How do I change this on my Droid ? Anyone else have the same complaints.

I use ... Pixel Phone Pro ... on all my phones. I think someone finally got it right. There is the added advantage that I have the same interface on all phones and it has a configuration save/restore feature.

I did, then after about 3 hours of a very buggy phone (dial pad would crash) I un-installed it. Meh. I'm okay with the stock interface. I'm more of a texting gal.

I've had no problem with it on the Droid Maxx or Droid Turbo. I was not able to set an alternate wallpaper in the favorites .... other than that.

my phone has been a bit buggy today. It kept wanting to do the software update, I finally said okay...... maybe it wasn't related to the app. I dunno.

Just installed this and added the Material Design theme. Just hope it isn't the same as the new phone interface in Lollipop!

I use the "Glossy" theme and choose the far right option with the black background. I really like this on the Droid Turbo.

I installed this app twice this morning but after installation everything reverts back to the stock dialer. There is no icon in the apps. I don't see anything in settings to make it the default app. When ever I close the app it disappears.

OK, Third install and all is well. Not sure what happened the first time but had no icons anywhere related to Pixel phone. The last time a "contacts" icon showed up and I moved that to the original dialer location.

When you install it adds three icons to the applications drawer ... Phone, Contacts, and Favorites. They are all square. It leaves the original Phone and People.

My guess is you were selecting the old Phone and not the new phone.

(I only use the square Phone.)

When I opened the original install the screen went blank for a minute and I closed the app. I think I interrupted the setup.

That is very possible. It has to do a lot of processing when it is opened the first time ... coping contacts.
