Root How to change splash screen

Hi!

I installed CyanogenMod on my Nook Color. Now I want to change splash screen (no boot animation). I don't know how to do it and can't find manual in the Internet.

Have anybody manuals/ideas?

Try this one: How To Change, Customize & Create Android Boot Animation [Guide]

I always copy it to /data/local with Root Explorer so I can update the rom and keep the new animation. I'm not a fan of the one included with CM7.

Blue particles, Google Gears... are both nice ones.

Not all animations work on all devices, especially some phone animations on tablets.

colchiro, it requires fastboot mode but Nook hasn't it.

I always copy it to /data/local with Root Explorer so I can update the rom and keep the new animation.

Did you copy SPLASH.img to /data/local (phone memory) and reboot your Nook? I tried it but I hadn't success.

I think you're reading the wrong part.

• Download boot image and copy to your android device. (Will be a zip file)
• Rename zip to bootanimation.zip (exactly)
• Copy to \data\local folder
• Reboot.
• You should see animation or maybe black screen if it's incompatible

Trust me, this works on my DroidX, Nook Color and HP Touchpad and I've used many of the boot animations on that screen with a NC.
