I just use a marker or a thick pen :) (this photo may or may not have been taken with an iPhone. Not a fan of the induction charging. (btw, my n4 case is sexy and I know it!)

If you always use the same USB cable, glue a small foam block to the underside of the plug so it applies some pressure but still can flex. :)
