how to clear notifications bar

Hi every one:

I am just wondering how to clear the notification bar without having to reboot my phone. Screen shots would be nice

I swore at one point there was a button that said clear all notifications, but now I am wondering if I just imagined it because it is nowhere to be seen when I pull down the notifications menu. WTH?

Instead, my new voice mail notification persists despite me checking my voicemail upteem times hoping it will go away.

The only thing that made the voicemail icon go away was me turning off the phone and rebooting it.

Or just drag the notifications bar down and click the Clear button

this will work for most but voicemail notification will remain until you check your voicemail (dependant on carrier settings). Other options are to turn off voicemail notification, or get notified by SMS (yet again carrier dependant)

I want to delete/clear the notifications for emails.. It says I had 107 and I don't want to see that...How do I clear that? its keeping a constant count of email...I want to be able to reset it to 0...when I hit CLEAR, it goes away, but when I get a new email, now it keeps a running total...

you can only rest it once you looked n deleted the emails
