Help How to delete all contacts?

pstein

Newbie
When I go to "Contacts" App and open the menu I did not found a "delete"
or "delete all" entry?

How else can I delete all current contacts (in mobphone storage! - not on SIM)?

A few ways log out your Google account. That should make them go "poof" factory reset or remove them one by one. That is a moto g if I am not mistaken and if you want to screen capture on the phone push power and volume up at the same time

Hi again

You only went as far as the menu button! If you follow the rest of the steps I gave it should work :)

I don't think so.

After tapping on "Contacts to display" I miss the entry "Phone"
as next step from your list (see attached snapshot).

Where is it?

.... only my gmail account is listed. Nothing else.

Believe me: There is NO "Phone" entry in this menu branch

Hi again

Are you sure you have contacts saved to "phone" ie only on your phone and not google synced contacts?

I have nothing saved to Google.

I have old contacts on my SIM and a newer set of contacts on then internal storage of my Smartphone.
I want to wipe all contacts on my SIM and (later) copy all contacts
from my mobilphone storgae to SIM.
Thats all.

All I need is a "delete all contacts on SIM" function

See we didn't know that, we thought you needed something different than that https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=diewland.testing.phone you will need that app because its blocked on moto g that will bypass it, go to phone information and push the three dots you will see view sim address book ..after that I don't know..because I have no contacts on my sim card..

This worked like a charm! I got all kinds of B.S. answers to this question online, but girolez solved it nice & simply with this procedure for my Pantech Burst with AT&T contacts.

The bloatware on this phone sucks--I wish there was a simple way to root it, so I could get rid of all the unwanted garbage.

Can anyone suggest a root method that is truly step-by-step, and the directions don't have any "do this" with no explanation. I mean exactly every step spelled out?

TIA.

Welcome to Android Forums.

An alternative to deleting the pre-installed software is to remain un-root-ed and use an alternate launcher. I use ... Nova Launcher Prime ... and simply hide the pre-installed software in the app drawer.
