How to disable annoying voice?

I just upgraded my S2 to Jelly Bean via Kies.

Unlike the the last upgrade from GB to ICS, which was not a great difference, this move to JB is radical! It will really take a lot of getting used to.

But the thing that is driving me nuts is the really annoying voice which announces everything I do, like when I scroll through screens she announces "Page two of seventeen" and so on.

How on earth do I shut this off before I throw my phone out of the window?!

Make sure you do not have driving mode activated , it will be in accessibility, text to speech or your toggles

Nope. That wasn't it! Driving mode is off.
The funny thing is the wife's phone was also upgraded and hers doesn't do it.

I know; pinch hers!
