How to disable status bar in chrome app

Can I disable status bar (not address bar) in chrome app on galaxy s4? I like how its implemented in the default browser of samsung (just with swipe down gesture) but the original browser does not have many capabilities of chrome and also cannot hide address bar like chrome... So I want to show the status bar in chrome with gesture like in the stock browser can it be done ? (device is not rooted but if its needed I will root it but I prefer to not root it)

The only way I know of is with the "Force Fullscreen" option in the App Settings module of Xposed Framework. This does require root AWA the framework and the module. Once installed however, you'll be able to set this, DPI, and many other settings on a per-app basis.
