Help How to disable this constant text

Vincen

Lurker
Sometimes when i do not at all touch my Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. i keep on getting a text from rogers something like "You have attempted to use a data application without a data plan. For options, click here http://rogers.com/m/smartphonedp/0/i" and it really bugs me, since when i use internet i only use wifi from my router and when its not connected to a wifi router i get that text. how do i stop it?

What do you mean by if my data connection is turned on? if it is how do i turn it off?

I mean what I asked, is the connection turned on, and if you go in to settings you'll see if it is or it isn't. You could also turn off the sleep policy - Settings - Wireless and networks - Wifi settings - Menu button - advanced - Wifi sleep policy - Never

There is an option on Rogers where they text you like once a month or two and the only way to opt out of those text messages are to click into one of those links or login on a computer to the link provided and chose the option to opt out. That or text back....sometimes it will end the message with a message saying, to opt out text 2 to some number.

I think they say they text their customers for special deals and offers. They texted me once saying that I get 2 free ring tones from the crappy Rogers store...that is when I opted out and haven't received any since.
