How to do a screen shot?

I tend to suppress bad things and it has been a while since I have considered screenshots on a Droid X. In later devices we have come to look at screenshots as just part of how we do things.
In Droid X you have two options ... connect to a PC and use the SDK ... root and use a root-required app. The one I used was ScreenGrabber.
Unfortunately I lost root on the Droid X with a system update and can no longer use ScreeGrabber.
The reason it was not allowed was that reading the contents of the screen was deemed to be a security problem. An app could read the data reported from another app.
