How to edit a forwarding email?

Can't find anything posted on this, so can anyone help?

When forwarding a received email (eg. A joke) I like to delete the previous addressees to limit the proliferation of the information.

Using the email app it appears to allow me to add text but not edit the original.

Am I missing something?

Hi, I was going to post the same question. I notice that there were no replies. Does it mean that it cannot be done on the phone.

Have you found out how to do it. If you have I would be interested as I'm fed up of having to go back to my laptop just to forward my emails.
