Help how to edit vm #?

how is everyone able to edit the voicemail number or add something in after the *86... i can't edit any of my voicemail settings like everyone else is saying to do on here, help! everytime i call voicemail it asks for my password which is "incorrect" apparently.... im clearly missing something
 
If you cannot get the password correct, you'll need to call your provider to help get it reset.

in order to edit the VM number you edit it like any other contact - long press then edit.
