How to Exchange a Droid :P

I gotta sleep, so forgive me for not reading the whole thread.

My suggestion is simple: make up a history of random reboots. Tell em works great for a few days, then suddenly it might reboot 4-5 times in a day, just sitting there and reboots in your pocket.

They HAVE to take it back then, because its a problem they damned well know A) exists and B) can't easily be replicated.

take it back pay the 35 bucks and get one at dell.com for 120

Lol exactly what I did. As soon as my sales person found out he called me crying for a price match cause I paid 497 for a droid and an env3... dumb, I know but I returned and got a droid and droid eris from dell plus a car charger for $164 shipped overnight. There were mail-in rebates associated with the offer ipaid 497 for but that's Not to say I woulda actually got em.

This is the type of stuff that makes it hard for people who have a legitimate claim to get their phones replaced.

All you have to do is

1. call 611 and tell them your problem.

2.They are the the best to deal with as far as customer service. 90% of the time they will tell you that you can send it in or go to a store and exchange it.

3.Tell them you want to do a store exchange and can they please put a note on you account so you don't have to go thrugh all this again. Then

4. Go to a corporate store and tell them you need to exchange your phone you already have aproval from customer service and there is a note on your account.

5. Enjoy your new phone!

I did the exact steps when i tried to replace my imagio and it didnt work. I asked to talk to a manager and he said the manager would say no to. So then I told him i wanted to talk to him anyways . the manager walkked over looked at the phone and then walked away right away.

So frustrating!!

Called them. They said go to another store because they could not diagnose my issues via phone. Blah...Oh well I'll try again.

Again.....
Don't make shit up, that's just dumb IMHO.

despite being quite sketchy and admittedly dumb, two things remain:

1) The man has a problem with his phone.
2) Verizon is being a dick and not taking it back.

Now I'm not saying it is right... but neither is having a broken phone that Verizon won't replace! The man clearly tried to do things the "right" way and it didn't work!
