Root How to flash 2.2

Newbie
Im new on this root/flashing roms. I have a samsung fascinate i would like to up date it to the 2.2 or 2.8. To make my phone work better. Iv seen guys that have a htc from sprint evo. He put some different roms and stuff on his phone and its very fast and cool. Could some one give me step by step instructions on how to flash to the 2.2 or better. what goes where on the odin

Download the file and flash it under the pda section in Odin. Everything's included...rom, radio and kernel, but you want to run voodoo here's a link for the EC10 kernel:

There's also one for non-voodoo too if you don't want to run it, but I'd suggest it since non-voodoo is a dying breed on these phones.

[ROM][3.23.2011] Superclean 2.9.2 EA15/EB01/EB16/EC10 Based - xda-developers

Read the 2.9.1 and 2.9.2 changlog sections to see what was changed since 2.9

I'm new to all of this, how would I load the EC10 kernel? I used Odin to load the SC 2.9 EB01/E16 build listed in the above link, but I'm having trouble finding a walkthrough for loading kernels.

They come as a zip package which you flash in Clockwork Recovery (hold the power button and choose recovery from the menu--assuming the phone is on). Once in recovery, select "install zip from sdcard" then "choose zip from sdcard." Navigate to the zip file, select it, and let it do its thing (which will include strange looking blue lettering flashing across the screen...this is normal). Flashing kernels is pretty painless.
