Root How to Flash an RUU?

I have TWRP at the moment, I'm assuming this has to be flashed with CWM right? Not a problem if it does, I can get it through Rom Manager but to confirm, I lock the bootloader first? When I relock the bootloader will I then be automatically sent to stock recovery? And do I need to do anything to supercid to make this rom stick?

Thanks

To run the RUU, you need to lock your bootloader, and connect your phone to a windows PC. It's an .exe file you run on your computer with your phone connected via usb.

To lock the bootloader, you need to have your phone connected via usb and boot into the bootloader. When it is at the bootloader screen (in fastboot usb mode) enter the following:
Code:
fastboot oem lock
Then you can run the RUU. Make sure you have the correct RUU for your phone/carrier. (If you did the supercid thing, you can flash any of them you want).

This process will put the phone in a completely stock state (recovery and everything) and your bootloader will say "relocked".

OK, this is where I'm confused. When you say 'make sure you have the correct ruu, how would I know? I downloaded US 1.84 because that's what I was on, is that what you mean by being 'correct'?

Also, sorry for the noobish question but when you say i can then 'run the ruu' how do you mean?

Am I flashing it or pushing it with ADB?

Agent: I didn't realise your link comes with a utility to install, apologies.

If you are on T-Mobile USA, use one of the RUU's for that (the 1.84 would be fine, I used it last time I did this).

It's a Windows .exe program, you run it on your computer with the phone connected, you don't flash/push anything. You just click on the download file and follow the on screen instructions.

Once they announce 4.1 for the One S, I'll run the RUU. At this point, I can actually say I don't mind running this phone on Stock... rooted of course. :P
