Not sure what I've done wrong here.
I just worked through putting Froyo on my captivate today without a glitch. I had rooted my phone yesterday with the update zip file, also without a glitch. I added Titanium Backup and had the Persmission User file (I think that was the correct name, the one with the Ninja guy) and Busybox was added. But now that I have this Froyo update (the one from designgears), my phone no longer seems to be rooted. Titanium and Busybox won't work because I get a message saying the phone isn't rooted. It was before I did the Froyo procedure which, all in all, seems to be fine. I seem to have all the options with Froyo.
But when I try to root again, now having Froyo on my phone, I get this message when I attempt to "reinstall packages" -
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted.
I do have USB debugging enabled and that update zip file is still in the same place on the internal sd. I even tried deleting the zip and reputting it into the internal sd. Still can't seem to get the original root procedure I did yesterday to now work. Am I doing something wrong or is there something slightly different to re-rooting the phone now that Froyo is on it?
