How to get 3G signal

This for sure works in Detroit and surrounding suburbs from my own personal experience.

-Flash PRL 3023 using qpst. Theres a guide for it in the ALL THINGS ROOT section for Optimus M.

-Reboot phone.

-dial *#*#4636#*#* (sometimes you have to press the call button after dialing)

-switch to EVDO only. wait about 10 seconds.

-3G symbol appears but data only works sometimes.

You can also switch the dialing *#*#4636#*#* to just downloading an app called LTE On Off Switch. It goes straight to that menu. Also, the prls play a role as well. The 3025 is the latest, it probably can give you the best 3G,but lower prls do the same and if you do get 3G without doing anything, you'll most likely see that when you go to that menu, that your on evdo automatically.
