Help How to get photo's named by date instead of image number?

Hi

I am taking a lot of pictures on my Desire, but having them names IGM1 IMG 2 etc isn't very helpful.

Is there any way of changing some settings so the phone automatically names the pictures with the date instead?

Thats not really the site admin's job. Their job is to technically run the site.

Some of the guides and other members do go through the unanswered posts lists and try to help, but they may not be able to answer every thread. Also no answers generally means that no one knows the answer.

This thread is old. You signed up just to post this? You went out of your way to post in a thread that has no answers, yet you didn't answer it yourself?

Does anyone have an answer :)

Not sure if it can be done with the default Sense gallery, probably not, but if you search for "Gallery 3D" on the Market you can download the gallery from the Nexus One which in my opinion is vastly superior to the Sense gallery and also supports this feature :D

lol such an old post.
I think the closest you can get to this is using time stamp from the camera settings, but this will have the date and time on the bottom right of the photo, which kinda ruins the image :s
but if u just want to know the time the image was taken, then go to details

I don't think you can do it with the default camera - I use Vignette and it does this by default though. Every picture I have taken is named date-time.jpg

Hope that helps
