How to Get/Watch Movies

Hi, now I have a 16GB MicroSD card and a 32GB thumbdrive, I am ready to watch movies. What sites do you all use to download movies, or how else do you get/rip movies? What programs do you prefer.
TIA

Well it is against this site's policy to discuss downloading anything copyrighted so that's that. I use DVD decrypter to rip my movies. But there a million others to use.

You can get an acount with easynews.com. They are a news groups site that has just about anything you might want. But be forwarned, lots of people post viruses and incomplete crap. The movies are of good quality for the most part but are posts from all over the world, so you might get a beautiful copy just to find out it's got french voices. I have been an avid news group user for over 10 years and never been sorry, just careful.

Well I have over 1400 DVDs and Blu-rays, so it seems a shame I can't watch one on the A500 (legally I would believe so).

As far as I know if you bought the dvd you have the license to view it how you want but if you sell the dvd after you burn it you also sold the license for viewing and therefore the burned/ripped copy would be illegal.

I could be wrong here. I haven't had much sleep so my thought process isn't all there right now.

This is where it gets tricky legally. Fair-use act allows you to make a copy for personal use, if you own a purchased copy of the media. The DMCA makes it illegal to "break" the encryption to make a copy, essentially negating the fair-use act since you'd be going against the DMCA.

I use a program to get the movies tab ready called leawo

Here is the link (removed for safety reasons)

I have used it on one DVD and it turned out great.

That's crap... thanks for the heads up uninstalling and scanning PC.

Okay don't use the link. Damn and I liked it too it was very easy to use

Update so far scanned with to malware programs and nothing. I think my PC skills are holding up just wish I can use the skills to android.

Thank you for the update

I also use Leawo. When you install the free version it gives you the option to include RelevantKnowledge market survey software. But you can decline that and just install Leawo if you want - of course, if you just click OK to everything without reading it, then your install will include what could be called malware.

I use anyDVDHD it is $$$ but constantly updated. After that there are a lot of free tools to convert to the format of your choice. Once you have the source then you can use hadnbrake to convert. Tip - instead of encoding the entire movie use a 5 min clip and try several settings to see what looks good to you. saves a lot of time and headache.
