Help How to go back to previous screen if you accidentally press home button?

When you are working on something in your S4,i f you accidentally press the home key (middle bottom physical button) it will bring you to the home screen. How do you go back to the previous screen that you are working on?

If you long press the home button it should bring up a list of recently used apps.
(However, if you have for example entered a long text message, all of that text will be lost.)*

Is that true? I haven't used the S4 in a while, but Android devices should save the state of the app when going to home screen (or to another app). So, the text message should still be there later

Look at me, lying to people for no reason! It's not true! I just did a test and jj14x is right. The text is still there!
