Root How to go complete Stock and Unroot

Is there a guide out there for going completely stock and unrooting for my evo? I'm wanting to sell it, but I don't know how you would do this.

You flash a completely stock and unrooted ROM. Whatever ROM you flash is the one you'll have in the phone. (Finding one will be the problem - most people don't back up ROMS until after they've flashed something non-stock.)

Thank you now I just need to sell this... If anyone wants mine its in perfect condition extended battery+ otterbox+ brand new zagg anti smudge/ glare screen contact me.

the link doesn't work

I remove links when I assume they are done being used... Let me know if you still need and I can repost.

Otherwise you can make the file yourself by starting the ruu with no phone,
then run %temp%
Open newest folder
Find ROM.zip
Rename to pg86img.zip

That's it

could you reupload the file again please? My friend wants to go stock to with me that's why I needed the file again.

ok so put file in sd card, factory reset ,download the file (.zip) clear cache, system etc.. then install from zip choose file = stock right? or could someone clarify

If you're using the pg86img.zip

Put that file on the root of your sd card, not in a folder

Make sure it is named pg86img.zip

Remove the battery
Put the battery back in

Now hold volume down and then press power and continue holding both until your phone turns on

You should be in bootloader

Accept the prompt to update and you'll be on your way

Chrome didn't seem to see that, I just got a blank screen. Whelp, working now. I guess it's my internet drivers. Thanks for the help

Will this stock rom still work if I'm on hboot 1.50.50? Or do I need to upgrade the hboot first?

Also, I have a full backup from 4ext before I loaded CM10.2, could I just restore that backup and it'll restore everything to stock for me?

Since you are S-Off, you can run it without doing anything.

You can't restore a stock backup with hboot 1.50. You'd have to upgrade your hboot first.
It's probably safest and simplest to RUU. You'll have to flash your recovery again but that's easy. After RUU, you could restore your stock backup.

Hmm, those RUU links don't seem to be working.

First it said I had to be signed in. So I signed up, but it won't let me verify my email with them (odd). But I still seem to be signed in.

However, when I come back here and click any of the download links, it just brings me to a blank Copy.com page.

I just checked and I was having issues as well. I couldn't even log into my account.

You don't have to log in or create an account to download.

Try this:
Open command prompt on your pc. Type: ipconfig /flushdns

Then try the links again. Site is working fine for me after flushing the dns cache.
