How to have the phone keypad default during phone calls?

When I make phone calls, the default screen is the large Droid with the Mute, Speaker and other buttons. I always end up having to press the Keypad button to get the phone keypad to display (checking voicemail or skipping voicemail greetings)

Is there anyway to have the keypad be the default screen during phone calls? It seems like the keypad is used much more than Speaker or Mute.

I don't see no options for this setting.You have to hit the keypad icon to bring it up.Maybe some app can provide this feature but i don't no of any for this purpose.
