How to hide/unhide apps...

Just curious guys, I've been running 4.3 on my Note 2 now for a couple of weeks and love it. My only issue is that there is no more hide/unhide applications. Am I missing something or is there another feature they updated to? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I am not sure whether I understand you correctly, but if you want to make some system apps not to be using system resources then you can still disable them and re-enable them if you need them back in operation.

There is a caveat though, it only works on some system apps and on others you'll find the disable button inaccessible (greyed out). User downloaded apps cannot be disabled you can only uninstall them, which makes sense.

You'll find the system apps in Application manager and then then swipe to the very right until you get to the "All" tab. Be careful when disabling system apps because some of them are inter-dependant and, therefore, disabling one might cause the other to malfunction.

@Heat57 Thanks for the response. On my Galaxy 4, I would hit apps from my home screen and all my apps would pop up, I could then tap the menu buttons with apps up and scroll to the bottom and had the option there to Hide Applications and Show hidden applications...Im now running 4.3 on my Note 2 and no longer have that option anymore. Don't know if thats something they removed in Jellybean 4.3.

Sorry Louee, I am not aware of that function, but there again, I don't profess to know everything. I can't see what you're referring to?

In the app drawer, under the Settings menu there is an option to hide apps and show hidden apps. By the sounds of it, the 4.3 update has removed these options.

.Ahh, I didn't know that since I've been using Nova launcher for a long time and the only thing you get to from the app drawer there is the Application Manager

Your carrier removed that feature. I am now running 4.3 on my Note 2 stock and unrooted. The option to hide and show hidden apps is still present.
